Habitat: American Goldfinches love to nest in thistles, weeds, open woods, and stream sides.
Diet: American Goldfinches eat seeds, insects, weeds, grasses, and maple sap. Young are fed matter made mostly of seeds.
Offspring: American goldfinch lays about 4-6 blue/white eggs. The eggs usually hatch in between 12-14 eggs.
Predators: predators of the american goldfinch include snakes, squirrels, blue jays, sharp-shinned hawk, and cats.
