Scientific name: The Black Bear’s full scientific name is Ursus Americanus.
Description: The Black Bear is a blueish-black-gray in color. A black bear can run up to 25-35 mph. Diet: Black Bears eat berries and leaves, fish, bugs and some small animals that they scavenge. Habitat: Black Bears live in North America, Canada and northern Mexico. They live in heavily forested areas due to their shy nature. Predators: “Besides humans, there are no predators for an adult black bear, but black bear cubs are sometimes hunted by wolves and bobcats.” -quoted from habitat tracker.com Offspring: The offspring of black bears are called cubs.
